Hanna Olejniczak—affectionately known as Hania—was born and raised in Kraków.
Between 2022 and 2024, she studied at SPOT Kraków Artistic School, graduating with both a dramatic acting diploma and a qualification as a musical stage performer. That training shaped her as a multifaceted artist, embracing theatre, screen performance, music, and voice work.
In fact, her journey with the stage began even earlier—Hania joined the ensemble of Teatr Powidok in 2020, where she began cultivating her theatrical presence before her formal studies. This early engagement laid a strong foundation for her expressive sensibility and collaborative stagework.
She expanded her artistic reach beyond the stage to include television, appearing in the TV series BUNT on TVN in the role of Janka Poznańska, as well as streaming and commercial productions such as Open Eyes on Netflix.
More recently, she added an HBO streaming project to her growing portfolio. Her appearances in social campaigns, including Safe Kraków, and music videos further showcase her adaptability across performance mediums.
Beyond acting, Hania is also active as a vocal coach, and was involved in Karioka Girls Rock Camp—an empowering initiative fostering young female musical talent. It was through this initiative that she was sent, shortly after her high school graduation, to participate in an international music workshop in Iceland, where she collaborated with artists from diverse cultural backgrounds. This formative experience broadened her artistic worldview and reinforced her interest in boundary-crossing creative projects.
Her venture into English-language performance began in earnest when she became part of KITE – Kraków Independent Theatre Expats. In the 2023 premiere of Mind Prey, Hania took on the role of Marilyn, a presence whose lightness and energy contrast with the play’s tragicomic tension. Her command of English, combined with emotional precision, helped anchor one of the production’s most memorable personalities.
Following that, in April 2025, KITE staged Between Heaven and Earth at the Dworek Białoprądnicki Cultural Centre in Kraków. In the claustrophobic milieu of a stalled elevator, Hania portrayed Olena—an ordinary woman caught in extraordinary moral and emotional confrontation as war, guilt, and survival emerge into full view. Her performance resonated with subtle clarity, helping to heighten the stakes of the ensemble piece.
Taken altogether, Hanna Olejniczak’s journey is one defined by steady artistic growth and expanding horizons. From her early ensemble work at Teatr Powidok to her rigorous training at SPOT and her fluid presence across theatre, TV, streaming, and music video formats, she constantly demonstrates versatility. Her emerging voice in English-language theatre—first as Marilyn in Mind Prey, then as Olena in Between Heaven and Earth—adds an international dimension to her Kraków-grounded artistry, perfectly aligning with KITE’s bilingual and boundary-crossing ethos.
Hania approaches each role with intelligence and expressive clarity. In Mind Prey she conveyed vivacity amid darkness; in Between Heaven and Earth she embodied emotional depth in compressed physical space. With each performance, she reveals an actor whose work is as earnest as it is engaging—a voice rising to meet bilingual, multicultural theater of richly human stakes.
